Aker Yards loses its name

The name Aker Yards will soon be history. South Korean STX has now acquired almost 90 per cent of the shares, and has announced that Aker Yards will change name to STX Europe. Aker Yards in France becomes STX France Cruise, and the Norwegian yards will become STX Norway Offshore.
