Norwegian shipping company Belships ASA posts Q2 operating profit of USD4.88m

Norwegian shipping company Belships ASA issued on Thursday (21 August) its interim report for the second quarter, posting an operating profit of USD4.88m, as compared to USD2.85m in the second quarter of 2007. Operating revenues amounted to USD25.70m, up from USD13.37m in the second quarter last year. Earnings per share amounted to USD0.18, up from USD0.08 a year ago. Belships, headquartered in Oslo, Norway, is a shipping company active within dry cargo, petroleum product tankers and technical management. The company reported revenue of USD67m in 2007.
