Turkish shipbuilder launches 4.400-dwt dry bulker, ordered by Albros Shipping

Aksoy Shipyard (Gelibolu, Turkey) launched on February 23, a multipurpose “Modulus 3” dry cargo carrier of deadweight of some 4400 tons. The ship was built under contract with Albros Shipping Comp. (the company’s CEO - Raim Alekperov).
 
Marine Engineering Bureau, the ship designer said the Modulus 3 is 89,17 m in length and 15,6 m in width, the ship’s DP - 6,80 m. Class of Russia Maritime Register of Shipping - KM Ice3 R1 AUT3. 4400-dwt in 5.286-m displacement in salt water. When draft 4.50 m – DWT is about 3420 tons. The volume of cargo tanks - 2066 cub.m.
 
The single hold of the vessel is suitable for loading operations and the placement of goods without stowage. This feature makes the 003RSD04/ALB03 type ship attractive for the delivery of equipment for the development of the shelf zone of the Caspian Sea. Non-standard cargoes can be delivered directly from any European port or ports in the Persian Gulf along Russian inland waterways to the Caspian Sea.

There are 11 ships of 003RSD04 project currently in operation and its modifications 003RSD04/ALB02, 003RSD04/ALB03.
