Russian Railways OJSC has to keep on convention on coal transportation to the port of Tuapse as 600 wagons are still unloaded as of August 25. According to the press center of Russian Railways, "positive dynamics of coal transportation has faced non-fulfillment of performance norms by dock workers unloading wagons with export coal accumulated at the approaches to the port of Tuapse during the strike in the port". Daily unloading rates are 140 wagons against planned 300 wagons.
Russian Railways earlier announced calling off of all conventions.
Dock workers of Commercial Seaport of Tuapse OJSC suspended operation on August 14, 2008. The convention introduced by Russian Railways OJSC resulted in loss of 1,466 wagons with coal (West-Siberia and North Caucasus Railways), 376 wagons with ferrous metal (South-East railway), 300 wagons with grin (North Caucasus Railway) during the first 8 days.
