Murmansk region is fully ready for implementation of the Murmansk Transport Hub projects (MTU), the Murmansk Region Gov. Dmitri Dmitrienko said at a meeting with Russian Vice-Premier Sergei Ivanov on Saturday, the regional government’s press office reports.
During the meeting Mr. Ivanov said the Russian Government had already submitted a draft resolution for creating in Murmansk a port type special economic zone. And once it is signed, the Murmansk Transport Hub will be granted all the necessary benefits for creation of a public-private-funded major transport hub. According to Mr. Ivanov, all the basic decisions to build a port and transport hub have already been taken.
