China's JES bags 8 bulker newbuild contracts

JES International Holdings has bagged contracts for eight bulk carrier newbuildings from Panama, South Korean and Chinese shipowners. The Chinese shipbuilder is to build a pair of 82,000 dwt bulkers for Sammok Shipping of South Korea for delivery in 2011 and 2012. JES is also to build five 47,500 dwt for undisclosed nominee companies in China with delivery in 2012. Pitiousa Shipping, incorporated in Panama contracted the Singapore-listed shipbuilder for a 95,000 dwt bulker.
