Port of Mariupol invites bids for Berth8 upgrade contract

State-run Mariupol Commercial Sea Port (Donetsk region, Ukraine) has announced a tender to select general contractor for the reconstruction of berth N8, Transport Business reports citing the stevedore company. To participate in the tender the bids are to be submitted until November 4th. The renovation project will be funded by the enterprise.

Mariupol Commercial Sea Port is ranked among the four largest Ukraine ports. The stevedore company is located in north-western part of Taganrog Bay of the Azov Sea. Average harbor depth is 12 meters allowing the ships with 8m draft and LOA up to 240m to enter the harbor. The length of the mooring line is 3.9 km. Area of indoor warehouses is 11,800 sq m, of outdoor storage facilities – 240,900 sq m.

The MCSP company specializes in handling of ferrous and nonferrous metals, iron ore, coal, coke, clay, fertilizers of all kinds, sulfur, equipment (including oversized and heavy-weight cargo) fuel oil (board on board), grain in bulk, containers and cargo packages.
