Also two Russian top-managers in ShDAG have left their posts. These are Gennady Zaytsev and Yury Akhremenko. Some 10-15 percent of the staff will be changed, Kommersant reports. The main task that has been given to the new managers is to establish good relations with Gazprom and to get as much Russian participation as possible in the project.
Gazprom and Total have different opinions on the Shtokman project plan. The plan developed by Total and Erve Madeo suggested that the field should be developed in two phases with onshore processing of the gas. This plan was supported by former president in ShDAG Yury Komarov. Gazprom, on the other hand, wants the first stage of development to happen in one single phase with partly processing of the gas on the platform. The disagreement was one of the reasons that Komarov left his post in June.
