Houston ship channel re-opens

The Houston Ship Channel re-opened to inbound vessels piloted by the Houston pilots Wednesday morning.
A barge tow struck a power line tower that links Houston and Bayport on Sunday morning. The accident caused the closing of the channel.
The ship channel is now open for outbound vessels, outbound tows and inbound vessels. It remains closed to inbound tows, according to the West Gulf Maritime Association.
