Freight turnover of KCSP soars 50.6%, to 2.377m tons in Jan-Sept.

Throughput of Kaliningrad Commercial Sea Port (KCSP) in January-September 2010 jumped by 50,6% from the same period last year, to 2,377,700 tons, the Port Authority press release said.
 
Nine-month exports volume amounted to 1 million 770.5 thousand tons, a 53.6-percent surge from Jan-Sept, 2009.
 
The volume includes 321,200 tons of exported petroleum products (+16.17%) 1,067,200 tons of ferrous metals cargo (up 1.92 times as much), 158,200 tons of coal and coke (+42.3%).
The stevedoring company in the reporting period handled 607,200 tons of inbound goods (a 42.6-percent growth y-o-y).

This September, freight traffic via KCSP totaled 249.2 thousand tons, or up 1,6 times over Sept, 2009.

Kaliningrad Commercial Sea Port is the stevedore company operating at the Port of Kaliningrad. The port of Kaliningrad is a hub for almost all types of transport and major export-import freight flows passing through the region. The stevedore’s throughput reported for 2009 was at 2,186.100 tons.
