In the reporting period the operator handled 10 million 169.8 thousand tons of dry cargo, down 16.4% from Jan-Sept., 2009, and 8,622,700 tons of liquid bulk cargo, or a 2.8-percent gain y-o-y.
In nine recent months Odessa port’s volume of containerized cargo surged 42.3%, to 2842.9 thousand tons or by 36.3% in TEUs, to 251,337 units.
State-owned Odessa Commercial Sea Port is one of the largest ports of the Black Sea-Azov Basin. The Odessa Port’s facilities allow the stevedoring company to handle annually over 14 million tons of dry cargo and 14 million tons of liquid bulk cargo. Last year, cargo turnover of OCSP fell 19% year-over-year, to 28.007 million tons.
