The nine-month transshipped volume includes 3,092,400 tons of outbound goods, 1,094,200 tons of inbound cargo and 1,161,500 tons of coastal traffic freight.
The volume of containerized goods handled by the stevedore in the reporting period reached 244,769 TEUs, including 90,201 TEUs of exports, 77,099 TEUs of imports, and 77,469 TEUs of short sea trade cargo.
In Q3, 2010 the company handled 1 million 965.9 thousand tons of cargo, including 1,102,700 tons of exports, 446,800 tons of imports and 416,400 tons of goods carried by coasters. Container throughput in Jul-Sept. was at 96,491 TEUs, including 36,158 TEUs of exports, 33,101 TEUs of imports, and 27,232 TEUs of short sea trade.
In September 2010, the port operator handled 699,000 tons of cargo. In the export direction - 407.600 tons, imported - 151,000 tons, of coastal traffics – 140,900 tons. Monthly volume of containerized cargo reached 33,236 TEUs: outbound goods – 11,966 TEUs, inbound goods – 11,945 TEUs, of short sea trade – 9,325 TEUs.
According to Sergei Lopunov, the CPV’s freight volume rise in Jan-Sept, fueled largely by metals and coke exports, imports of containers and vehicles. The nine-month throughput has made up 89% of the company’s annual plan.
"In general, our work is going at a good pace and we are sure we will surpass substantially the annual plan of 6 million tons," said Sergey Lopunov.
Commercial Sea Port of Vladivostok OJSC, part of FESCO Group, is the largest stevedoring company operating at the port of Vladivostok. Throughput of CPV in 2009 increased by 4.9% year-over-year, to 6 million 205.1 thousand tons.
