Rosterminalugol posts a record volume loaded to a ship

Stevedoring company Rosterminalugol (Ust-Luga, Leningrad region) loaded onto the VALERIA DELLA GATTA 313,91.73 tons of coal cargo, the maximum one-time volume of cargo ever loaded to a ship by the stevedore, the company’s press service said.

Earlier reports said that Rosterminalugol had transshipped from January to September 19th, 5 million tons of exported coal.

Rosterminalugol OJSC, part of KuzbassRazrezUgol, was established in 1996 for creation and further operation of the coal terminal at the Commercial Seaport of Ust-Luga. The terminal’s projected capacity is 8 million tons of coal a year. Rosterminalugol OJSC provides cargo handling operations, freight forwarding services, developing and maintaining facilities at specialized complex for transshipment of coal at the seaport in the Luga Bay of the Gulf of Finland. The stevedore company provides insurance services for goods and property, the transactions risks at the commercial port. The coal terminal has two 540-m-long, 14-m-deep berths that can accommodate vessels with length up to 240 meters and breadth up to 32,2 meters. In 2009, the volume of coal exported via the terminal totaled 7,083,538 tons. The stevedore unloaded 99,242 rail cars, and handled 200 ships.
