Nine-month crude exports via Primorsk down 1.6%, to 57,7m tons

According to statistics posted by the Authority of Big Port of St. Petersburg (Primorsk Port is included in the responsibility of the BP St.Pb Authority), the volume of crude oil exports through the port of Primorsk (Leningrad Region) in January-September 2010 amounted to 57,729,500 tons, 1.67 percent down from last year’s figure.
 
In the first nine months of this year the port of Primorsk transshipped 53,406,000 tons of crude oil and 4,323,500 tons of diesel fuel.

In September, the port handled 5,502,000 tons and 566,700 tons of diesel fuel.
 
Primorsk Commercial Sea Port is the largest Russian North-West hub for exports of oil and petroleum products. In 2009, the port handled 79,157,200 tons of oil and diesel fuel and 1.869 ships (935 inbound vessels, 934 outbound).
There are two stevedores operating at the port: Primorsky Commercial Port LLC is engaged in transshipment of crude oil, BaltTransService handles exported diesel fuel.
