The vessels will be built at DDW's Nanindah shipyard at Batam in Indonesia and the first vessel will be delivered in 18 months, followed by one each every two months.
Each PSV will be constructed to Rolls Royce Marine's design, UT755CDL and powered by diesel electric propulsion. The vessel, with a length of 81.55 metres and weight of 3,200 tonnes, will be equipped with a cargo deck measuring 670 square metres.
"We are confident and despite the global downturn we are modifying and managing change with clear vision, we do believe that our new horizon will ensure and enhance the sustainability cycle of our business," said Khamis Juma Buamim, chairman, Drydocks World & Maritime World.
On the successful delivery of the first four vessels, Tidewater Marine may place orders for four more PSVs with DDW-Nanindah.
