Hapag-Lloyd leaves CSAV on Europe-ECSA

Hapag-Lloyd is understood to leave the North Europe-ECSA service jointly operated with CSAV , taking out the PARANAGUA EXPRESS, its only ship on this service. Hapag-Lloyd will continue on this route with its two existing services, operated within a partnership with Hamburg-Süd, Aliança and CMA CGM.

The joint service with CSAV was inherited from CP Ships. It calls at Dakar southbound en route, a call which is to believed abandoned by CSAV. For Hapag-Lloyd, this leg is encompassed in its North Europe-West Africa service launched next month. CSAV will remain as sole operator of the service, with Zim taking slots (and Zim is also launching a North Europe-West Africa service - Partnership with CSCL).
