Rosterminalugol coal handling grows to 6m tons, by Oct. 23

According to provisional data (on Oct.23, 2010) the volume of coal transshipment by Rosterminalugol company (the port of Ust-Luga, Leningrad region, part of Kuzbassrazrezugol Holding)  exceeded year-to-date 6 million tons, the company’s press service said. The 6th ton of coal was loaded to the vessel MAHITIS bulker.

JSC Rosterminalugol was established in 1996 to build and operate the coal terminal at the commercial seaport of Ust-Luga. The terminal’s projected capacity is 8 million tons of coal a year. Rosterminalugol specializes in loading and-unloading operations, freight forwarding services, building and maintenance of facilities at specialized coal transshipment terminal at the port of Ust-Luga. The company also provides insurance services for goods and property, the risks of transactions at the commercial port. The terminal has two berths with a total length of 540 meters and depth at the berths of 14 meters and can accommodate vessels with beam up to 32,2 m and length up to 240 m. In 2009, the volume of coal transshipped at the terminal totaled 7 mln 83.538 ths tons. The company unloaded 99,242 rail cars and handled 200 ships.
