"We have not yet decided on the configuration of our affiliates in the Far East," said the head of Rosmorport.
The first enlarged affiliated company based on the St. Petersburg branch of Rosmorport will be created in the Baltic. "The relevant order has been issued for creation of the branch with accession of Ust-Luga, Primorsk, Vyborg, Vysotsk and Kaliningrad, but with special status", said Mr. Rusu. The basin branch will be headed by Sergei Pylin, the St. Petersburg branch’s director. In the coming days, Igor Rusu is going to sign an order establishing the Black Sea basin branch of Rosmorport.
This reorganization is focused on improvement of the enterprise management and reducing its administrative costs. "It will be a step towards reforming the entire port industry of the country," Mr. Rusu said.
Federal State Unitary Enterprise Rosmorport was established in 2003. The company manages federal assets in the ports of Russia, including sea berths, and operates the world's largest icebreaker fleet of 26 diesel-electric icebreakers.
