According to the media, the FESCO’s dry cargo ship was arrested on October 27 by Spanish authorities on suspicion of pollution and now is docked at the port of Algeciras. The shipowner is reportedly required to pay €150,000 to release the ship. Spain authorities have filed criminal charges against the shipowner.
"There is a trial of this case, and any comment in the media can be interpreted as pressure on the court", says Tatyana Kulikova the spokesman to FESCO.
According to her, the company has no plans to comment on the situation prior to adjudication.
