The Caspian Energy Group and JSC United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) are planning to build two dry cargo carriers of project RSD49 for JSC Western Shipping Company (WSC), the Group’s press-service reports.
The vessels will be constructed under the leasing financing scheme with the participation of the lessor - JSC Goznak-Lease and the lessee - JSC Western Shipping Company. USC acts as a lender of the leasing company.
Construction of dry bulk carriers will be at JSC Shipyard Lotos (44% of the shares owned by USC, 45.72% - by the Caspian Energy Group), part of production assets of Astrakhan Shipbuilding Production Association LLC.
The implementation of this order for both companies will be the first experience of cooperation within the Southern Center of Shipbuilding and Ship Repair, established in accordance with presidential decree in the Astrakhan region.
The ship's length is about 140 meters, breadth - 16, 5 m, deadweight in the fresh water - 4.525 tons, deadweight in salt water - 7.157 tons.
