Liebherr to supply 2 stacking cranes to CPV, worth € 8m

Liebherr will deliver to Commercial Port of Vladivostok (CPV) two rail mounted stacking cranes Liebherr S400L (WS) (RT) - SUPER within 11 months. According to director of harbor equipment sales of Liebherr-Russland Herman Ignatov, the contract is worth 8 million euros, PortNews reported.

The cranes are configured to suit the customer's individual requirements. Their track is 63 meters. The cranes with track of 63 meters are notable for lightweight lattice structure, reduced pressure on the trolley.

The cranes are manufactured at the Killarney-based Liebherr Container Cranes Ltd. plant in Ireland, which produces the shore-to-shore container cranes, rail mounted stacking cranes and rubber tyre gantry cranes.

Commercial Sea Port of Vladivostok OJSC holds and manages assets at the sea port of Vladivostok, one of the largest seaports in the Russia’s Far East. CPV operates 17 berths, including the specialized ones - container, passenger, and automobile. CPV is part of FESCO Transport Group. Last year’s throughput of the stevedoring company rose by 4.9% year-over-year, to 6,205,100 tons.
