Freight One’s 2009 net income down 48.6% to RUB 4,4bn
Consolidated net income of JSC Freight One (IFRS) for the year ended Dec 31, 2009 shrank by 48.6% year-over-year to 4,438,162 rubles, PortNews reports citing the company's statistics.
In the reporting period consolidated revenue soared 47.1% to 75,594,200 rubles. Operational income fell 18.3% to 6,410,819 rubles.
JSC First One, majority owned by state-run Russian Railways, was established in 2007. Freight One is a leading provider of rail transportation services in Russia. The company employs over 3600 people across its Russian and foreign assets, owns more than 200,000 units of rolling stock (21% of the country’s car fleet). In 2010, Freight One carried about 302,3m tons of cargo, up 1.3 times over 2009’s figures.
