Hanjin Shipping has announced Wednesday a new service to the Pacific North West trade from 22 April 2011. The weekly voyage will cover the ports of Hong Kong, Yantian, Kaohsiung, Tacoma, Vancouver and Busan with five of 4,300 teu ships, jointly operated by Hanjin and its partner Yang Ming Line. Hanjin will contribute one vessel while Yang Ming will provide four. The expansion of this trade lane service will contribute to Hanjin making a stronger presence in the regions and enhancing its service network, the shipping firm said.
