As of today, April 17th (8:00am - MT), masters of 14 vessels requested icebreaker assistance in the eastern part of the Gulf of Finland, the Port Authority of Big Port St. Petersburg reports.
The PA reports of 30 merchant ships currently located in the water area, 16 of them - in motion.
Over the past day 14 ships have reached the entrance buoy of St Petersburg port. 28 vessels are westbound from the Gulf area, 13 ships called and 13 left the port. Overall, there are 54 cargo ships and 411 local ships at the port.
There was only one vessel subject to ice restrictions at the port of Ust-Luga
