St. Petersburg-based Severnaya Verf and GSE Sandwik (Norway) have signed an agreement on the construction of platform supply vessels for operation at the Arctic offshore deposits, the Russian shipyard’s head said speaking at the signing of the certificate of acceptance of a PSV built for Solvik Hull Supplies II AS. The agreement details were not disclosed.
According to Severnaya Verf General Director Andrei Fomichev, the shipyard executing newbuilds contracts for Russian customers, including Ministry of Defense, has mastered the building technology of the entire range of offshore supply vessels.
GSE Sandwik and Solvik are Norwegian companies, owned by Carl Sandvik.
