According to Arkhangelsk regional EMERCOM strong storm persists in the White Sea with wind speed of 20 m/sec. Wave height reaches about 25 feet, a height of a three-story building.
In spite of the harsh environment two icebreakers (Rosmorport’s Dixon and Gazprom’s Vladislav Strizhov), other rescue boats of the Salvage Coordination Center and maritime patrol aircrafts of the Russian Navy were participating in the hours-long search for missing bulker Kapitan Kuznetsov.
The dry bulk carrier has been found recently and now is bound for Arkhangelsk escorted by Rosmorport's icebreaker Dixon.
