The Port of Guigang, in southwest China's Guangxi Autonomous Region, registered a record-breaking throughput of 34.48 million tonnes from January to October, Xinhua reports.
The report said Guigang seizes the opportunity brought by Guangxi government's latest development plan for the Xijiang river and will build its self into a major shipping hub on the river.
