TNK-BP in talks to sell Ukrainian refinery
NK-BP is conducting negotiations with several potential buyers on selling its Ukrainian-based Lisichansk Oil Refinery, the oil major's Executive Director German Khan said, RBC News reports.
Ukrainian businessman Dmitry Firtash, who is a co-owner of gas trader RosUkrEnergo, takes part in the talks to buy the refinery, Vladimir Pristyuk, governor of the Lugansk District, said earlier. Experts said that Russian oil major Rosneft may be interested in acquiring the refinery estimated to cost about $1bn.
The refinery has not been operating since March 2012. Its nameplate processing capacity amounts to about 8m tons of crude annually.
