FESCO launches eastbound weekly container service
The departure from the Novosibirsk-Vostochny station of the first container train has commenced FESCO Siberian Shuttle, the additional eastbound weekly service to deliver containerized cargoes from Novosibirsk to the Far East, the Transportation Group FESCO press release said.
The service involves shipment of large containers from the Novosibirsk-Vostochny station to the Vladivostok station with further transportation to destinations in the Far East region: Nakhodka, Vladivostok, Artem and Ussuriisk. The carrier also provides for cargo deliveries to the Far East ports Petropavlovsk-Kamchatka, Anadyr, Korsakov, Magadan with FESCO’s short sea services from berths of Commercial Port of Vladivostok (CPV).
"The project was implemented thanks to the fruitful cooperation between the companies included in the FESCO Group, focused on the development of train services: LLC FESCO Integrated Transport, Transgarant, JSC Russian Troika and OJSC CPV. FESCO partner in the the service in Novosibirsk is LLC Container-N owned terminal Ltd. located at the station of Novosibirsk-Vostochny," the Company said. FESCO Group noted that Russian Railways (RZD) also contributed considerably in the development of the express container train services.
