STX Dalian signs $330m four-boxship deal
STX Dalian Shipbuilding has sealed a $330m deal to supply four 9,200-teu containerships to China International Marine Containers (CIMC), STX said in a statement, Seatrade Asia online reports.
Under the contract signed on Saturday, the four container carriers will be delivered to Shenzhen-based CIMC by 2014 and they will then be chartered on to CMA CGM.
The latest deal brings STX Dalian's order for this year to $2.2bn and brings up the total order book to $4.4bn with a two-year backlog.
