Malaysia-based offshore support vessel builder Coastal Contracts grabbed orders to construct two anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels and one subsea support vessel (SSV) for an aggregate value of about MYR111m ($36.3m), Seatrade Asia online reports.
The two AHTS vessels were sold to an Indonesian customer and the SSV to a customer from UAE.
All the vessels are expected to be delivered in 2012 and 2013.
“This is Coastal Group's third major vessel sales win in relatively quick succession, following our previous major win of MYR141m announced last month,” said Ng Chin Heng, executive chairman of Coastal.
To date, Kuala Lumpur-listed Coastal has approximately MYR743m worth of vessel sales orders awaiting delivery up to 2013.
