Upgraded State Marine Rescue Coordination Centre was opened in Odessa on Friday, September 21, 2012, the Ukraine’s Ministry of Infrastructure said.
Delivery, installation and configuration of new equipment of German and Dutch manufacturers were performed by Transas-Ukraine.
The State Enterprise Maritime Search and Rescue Service of the Ministry of Infrastructure was authorized by the Cabinet of Ministers to fulfill Ukraine’s commitments to the International Convention on Maritime Search and Rescue of Life at Sea 1979 (SAR - 79).
