Russia concerned over EU probe against Gazprom
Russia is seriously concerned over the European Union's anti-trust probe against Gazprom and hopes Brussels will not allow bilateral energy relations to deteriorate, RBC News reports.
"We are closely following the investigation. It is a matter of serious concern for us," said Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko.
The EU suspects the Russian gas monopoly of preventing competition in the gas markets of Central and Eastern Europe, thereby breaching the free competition rules of the European Union. For this reason, the European Commission launched a formal investigation earlier this month.
