PSV Vladislav Strizhov gets OSR equipment (photo release)
Lamor manufactured onboard equipment for oil spill response (OSR) operation has been installed on PSV Vladislav Strizhov at the port of Murmansk, Gazprom Neft Shelf said.
A team of specialists of Gazprom Neft Shelf LLC, Gazflot LLC, Ecoshelf-Baltika and the equipment supplier supervised the equipment installation and signed an acceptance certificate.
The oil spill equipment includes Heavy Duty Booms (HDB), Lamor large skimmer, diesel-powered unit for hot washing, Hydraulically actuated air blower for booms.
The multifunctional Icebreaker / Platform Supply Vessel Vladislav Strizhov was built in 2006 at Norway-based Havyard AS shipyard under the order of Gazprom Neft Shelf. The vessel was designed for year-round operations at offshore ice-resistant fixed platform Prirazlomnaya in harsh environment. The vessel project was designed by Norway’s Moss Maritime (Moss 828 prj). The double-acting icebreaking vessel features the dynamic positioning (DP), modern navigational systems. The PSV’s capacity - 1500 tons, DWT - 3800 tons, cruising range – 12,000 nm. The vessel is powered by 2 x 27,200 hp main engines.
Gazprom Neft Shelf LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Gazprom OJSC, was set up to develop offshore oil and gas fields. Gazprom Neft Shelf LLC holds a license for development of the Prirazlomnoye oil field, discovered in 1989 on the shelf of the Pechora Sea. Its recoverable reserves total more than 70 mln. t. The planned oil production level is about 6 mln. t.
