The first of two hydraulic cranes Mantsinen 120R was delivered to the coal terminal of port Vysotsk on November 28, 2013. The equipment was purchased by Port Vysotsky LLC within the framework of an investment programme for modernization and renovation of technical facilities in 2013, the company announced.
The second crane will be delivered to the port in early December this year. The new equipment will be assembled and put into operation before December 10.
The cranes were manufactured in Finland in compliance with specifications platforms Port Vysotsky LLC.
As of today, four hydraulic cranes are engaged in coal unloading at port Vysotsk: two Mantsinen 100 cranes and two Mantsinen 120 cranes.
Port of Vysotsk is located in the Leningrad region. There are currently two stevedore companies operating at the port’s terminals: Port Vysotsky LLC and RPK-Vysotsk-Lukoil-II Ltd. In May 2012, the Russian government decided to expand the Vysotsk port with new territories including those occupied by the construction site of a new sea terminal for handling of general cargo (with the capacity of up to 3 mln t). In 2012 the port’s throughput increased by 2%, year-on-year, to 13,634,200 tonnes.
