In January-November 2013, Russian Railways OJSC loaded 1,133,600,000 tonnes of cargo (-3.1%, year-on-year), the company says in its press release.
In the reported period, Russian Railways loaded 281.9 mln t of coal (+0.3% year-on-year); 10.5 mln t of coke (-9.7%); 227.4 mln t of crude and oil products (-3.3%); 101.7 mln t of irone and manganese ore (+0.8%); 64 mln t of ferrous metal (-5%); 15.4 mln t of scrap ferrous metal (-9%); 42.6 mln t of chemical and mineral fertilizers (+3.3%); 32.7 mln t of cement (-1.7%); 32.7 mln t of timber cargo (-2%); 12.1 mln t of grain (-26.7%); 160.5 mln t of construction materials (-5.2%); 19 mln t of non-ferrous ore and raw sulphur (-7.5%); 23.9 mln t of chemicals and soda (-6.9%); 31.3 mln t of industrial raw materials and molding materials (-5.7%).
From the beginning of 2013, the company’s cargo turnover made 1996.3 bln tarrif t-km (-1.9%). Cargo turnover including empty wagon run made 2.556.9 bln t-km (+0.4%).
In November 2013, the loading of Russian Railways declined by 2.6%, year-on-year, to 103.5 mln t.
November cargo turnover climbed by 0.5%, year-on-year, to 189.4 bln t-km. Cargo turnover including empty wagon run increased by 3.5% to 243 bln t-km.
