Big Port St. Petersburg issues notice about shipping line registration procedure

FSI Administration of Big Port St. Petersburg has published an information notice with temporary recommendations for ship owners and authorities on the procedure to confirm the compliance of vessels with line shipping requirements for application of a decreasing coefficient used for calculation of port dues. The document has been signed by Peotr Parinov, Harbour Master of Big Port St. Petersburg.

According to the notice, the recommendations can be applied temporarily before authorized federal agencies pass a regulatory act setting forth a procedure for shipping line registration and approve a document confirming this registration.

Earlier, RF Transport Ministry elaborated a draft law “On introduction of amendments into Merchant Marine Code of the Russian Federation concerning state regulation of line shipping” providing for issuance of Regulation on Shipping Lines.
