A solemn presentation of new car and passenger ferry of CNF12 series on December 15, 2013 was held at the port of Kavkaz. Shipowner is Anship, the series designer Marine Engineering Bureu said.
This is the first Russian Ro-Ro / passenger ship that will be operating on the Kuban-Crimea ferry service and capable of transporting up to 261 passengers and 43 cars.
There are currently two ferries owned by Ukrain's operator Kerch Ferry Crossing, the M/V Yeysk (YB – 1987) and the M/V Kerchensky (YB-1977), operating on the line.
The M/V Nikolai Aksenenko was built at South Sevastopol Shipyard. The ship has stern and bow ramps and doors for rolling off wheeled cargo.
Class – Russian River Register, M-SP 3.5 (Ice 30). Passenger and vehicles capacity: 261 passengers, 43 autos or 4 trucks. Key dimensions: LOA - 67.75 m, LBP - 63.15 m, beam overall - 12,0 m, beam molded – 11,60 m, depth - 3.60 m.
The lead ship of CNF12 series was launched on July 30, 2013 and delivered on October 31, 2013.
