General Director of Zvezdochka Shipyard Vladimir Nikitin and Chairman of a fishing farm "Osvobozhdeniye" Sergei Tuchin on December 17 signed an acceptance certificate for the intermediate full-freezing fishing trawler Kroida-2 of 50010 series, the shipbuilding company said.
The freezer trawler "Kroida-2" was laid at the shipyard in 2002. The fishing vessel was ordered by Grumant-Fleet LLC. In 2003 the customer pulled out and the construction of the entire series was halted.
The new contract for the series completion was signed in December 2012 with a fishing farm based in Mezensky district of the Arkhangelsk region.
In June 2013 the vessel was floated out for outfitting and dock-side trials. In November, the shipbuilder's sea trials were completed.
The trawler features the state-of-the-art navigation and fishfinding equipment and advanced trawl complex. After delivery the vessel will be transported to Norway for retrofitting of on board fish processing plant.
