Throughput of port Singapore up 5.1% to 435.89 mln t in Jan-Sep’14

In January-September 2014, the port of Singapore handled 435.89 mln t of cargo (+5.1%, year-on-year). According to the Port Administration, oil transshipment increased by 5.2% to 138.69 mln t, container throughput climbed by 3.4% to 25.13 mln TEUs.

Singapore is a Southeast Asian island city-state. In 2013, container throughput of port Singapore hit 32.58 TEUs, while the port’s total throughput reached 560.88 mln t.
