Icebreaking assistance season starts in the White Sea on January 14, 2014

The beginning of the icebreaking assistance season of the winter navigation 2014-2015 is announced for the White Sea from January 14, 2015. The Decree was signed on January 12 by the Harbour Master of port Arkhangelsk.

The decision was driven by the heavy ice formation in the Dvina Bay and the bottleneck of the White Sea as well as by the forecast on ice situation in the area.
