Cabooter starts Rotterdam-Venlo rail service

This summer Cabooter Rail Cargo is to launch a new rail connection between Rotterdam and Venlo. The existing service to TCT Venlo, operating 20 times a week, is provided by European Gateway. Cabooter will be using the terminal in Venlo-Blerick, where four trains a day are already handled for the Italy service, the company said in its press release.

Cabooter announced the new service in its thank-you speech last Thursday after being voted Railwayman of the Year. It is now entitled to call itself the standard bearer of rail freight transport in the Netherlands for a year.

Cabooter Railcargo is a departure point for maritime rail transport to and from the mainports Rotterdam, Antwerp and Amsterdam, as well as for continental rail transport to Central, Eastern and Southern Europe. The company also specialises in the transport, handling and storage of bulk and general cargo, in addition to intermodal units such as containers, trailers and swap bodies.
