Barkmeijer Shipyards delivers m.v. Marietje Nora to Danser-Van Gent M.N. C.V.
Friday July 10th Barkmeijer Stroobos deliverd the m.v. Marietje Nora to Danser-Van Gent M.N. C.V. This 1A ice-classed multipurpose vessel is the fourth and last vessel for the combination Danser-Van Gent / Royal Wagenborg built by Barkmeijer, the company said in its press release.
The engine room is equipped with a 2999 kW 9L27/38 (800 mw/min) B&W MAN-diesel engine, resulting in a speed of 14 knots.
Her sister vessels Marietje Andrea (deliverd November 15th, 2009), Marietje Marsilla (November 5th, 2010) and Marietje Deborah (July 14th, 2011) all have a capacity of 8.300 tonnes. By lengthening the last hold with 10 meters, the Marietje Nora has a maximum capacity of 9.000 tonnes (387.400 cbft) at maximum draught. The other general specifications are as follows: GT 5904, NT 2863, length over all 136,10 meters, width 15,20 meter, depth 9,50 meter, maximum draught 6,88 meter.
By delivering Marietje Nora an end has come to an impressive newbuilding programme for Royal Wagenborg and affiliates captain owners, which started 1988.
