Passenger Port of St. Petersburg receives 15 cruise ships, record number of passengers (photo)
Passenger Port of St. Petersburg (PLC "Passenger Port of St. Petersburg "Marine Façade") between July 13 and July 19 received and handled 15 cruise ships, which carried 33 980 passengers on board, the company said in a press release.
Overall, the stopover at the port berths lasted 28 ship / days, the total number of passenger operations – 110,321.
The passenger terminal supplied the vessels with 3,516 cbm potable water, collected 3,025 cbm of domestic sewage, 440,000 cbm of waste.
In this period, eight helicopters landed / took off on equipped helipad.
On July 18 seven cruise ships docked at the berths of Passenger Port of St. Petersburg with almost 15,000 passengers on board, a record number in the history of the port.
Previously, the port has received a record number of passengers less than three weeks ago, on July 1, 2015, when 14,568 cruise tourists visited St. Petersburg.
Passenger Port of Saint-Petersburg «Marine Façade» PLC is in the ownership of the city of St. Petersburg and is the largest passenger seaport in Russia. Construction of Marine Façade began in 2006. The port can accommodate cruise and ferry ships of up to 330 m long and with a draft of up to 8.8 m. The length and depth of new access channels - 10 km and 11 m, accordingly. The port operates seven piers. The quay-side length – 2,171.06 m.
