In the first half of 2015, port Odessa (Ukraine) handled 12.37 mln t of cargo (+3.5%, year-on-year). According to the port’s press center referring to Mikhail Sokolov, head of the port authority, transshipment of dry cargo climbed almost 9% including 3.5 mln t of bulk grain (+31%) and over 3.1 mln t of rolled ferrous metal (+45%).
Commenting on the cargo flows, Mikhail Sokolov noted considerable growth of exports (+13%) and decrease of imports and transit (-27.5% and -5% accordingly).
Port charges increased by 6% to UAH 344 mln. The number of calls totaled 1,090 (+ 20 calls).
