In January-July 2015, EVRAZ Nakhodka Commercial Sea Port handled over 5 mln t of cargo, which is almost the same as in 7M’14.
According to the company, coal transshipment totaled 3.2 mln t (+10%, year-on-year), ferrous metal products – over 1.8 mln t.
In July, the company handled over 737,000 t (against 735,000 t in 7M’14). Coal exports exceeded 558,000 t, ferrous metal products – about 179,000 t.
EVRAZ Nakhodka Commercial Sea Port is a major stevedore company operating at the largest Russia’s Far Eastern Port of Nakhodka, located in the eastern Gulf of Peter the Great, in Nakhodka Bay. The port is linked to the Eurasian continent through the Trans-Siberian Railway, serving the Asia-Europe-Asia trade flows. JSC EVRAZ NCSP operates on 15 cargo berths and one facility for handling the port’s workboats, of total length of 3.5 km, which can accommodate ships with length of 230m, breadth of 32m and draft of 11 m. Currently, at least 15 ships are able dock at the port’s berths simultaneously and the port can receive more than 1,500 large vessels a year. In 2014, EVRAZ NCSP handled 9,3 mln t of cargo (+25%, year-on-year).
