The Baltic Fleet held an exercise with the anti-submarine warfare group, including Zeledolsk and Urengoy small ASW ship in cooperation with the Ka-27PL helicopter, says press center of RF Defence Ministry. They were practicing detecting and liquidating the imaginery enemy submarine.
According to the scenario, the submarine of imaginary enemy entered the water zone of the Baltic Fleet grouping in order to destroy supply vessels.
Ka-27PL helicopter flew over the water surface and used the hydroacoustic equipment, detected the submarine and transferred data to the ASW ships.
The servicemen tracked the target and ‘destroyed’ it by rocket and torpedoes.
Moreover, the seamen engaged naval and aerial targets with gun complexes, practiced overcoming narrow passages and joint maneuvering.
