Pella shipyard completes sea trials of Baklan-project boat built for Russia’s FSB (photo)

Pella shipyard (Leningrad region) has completed manufacturer’s sea trials of Baklan-type boat А-149-1 (Hull No А-007), the shipyard’s press center says. The boat ordered by the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation (FSB) will be delivered to the customer in the nearest future.

Under the contract with FSB, two vessels destined for service in Krasnoyarsk and Volgograd regions will be delivered to the customer in 2015.

Major technical characteristics: length max – 11.2 m, breadth max - 3 m, depth – 1.25 m, draught – 0.6 m, speed max (with sea force 0-1) – 34 knots, full displacement – 6.24 tonnes, crew – 2 persons, special personnel – up to 8 persons.

Leningrad Shipyard Pella was founded in 1950 and privatized in 1992. The holding incorporates a head company and a number of subsidiaries. The shipyard specializes in construction of tug boats for Russian customers.
