Resources assigned for construction of the second line of Nizhnesvirsky hydrosystem (Leningrad Region) are to be reallocated for financing of the project on construction of Bagayevsky hydrosystem (Rostov Region), IAA PortNews correspondent cites Sergei Gorelik, acting head of Rosmorrechflot (Federal Marine and River Transport Agency), as saying at the meeting of Rosmorrechflot’s Expert Council. According to him, the document will be submitted to RF Government when approved by the federal executive authorities.
In case of RF Government’s approval, construction of Bagayevsky hydrosystem will commence in 2016.
Reallocation of resources is needed amid the deficit of the federal budget and the priority of Bagayevsky and Gorodetsky (Nizhny Novgorod) projects as compared with Low Svir projects.
According to Sergei Gorelik, the works on construction of the second line of Nizhnesvirsky hydrosystem have already been started but they will be frozen. The project is to be implemented after 2020. Investments into the project have exceeded RUB 10 bln.
Bagayevsky low head hydrosystem at the Don river is to be put into operation in 2019-20. Its construction is needed to solve the problem of low water level at Lower Don. The project is preliminary estimated at RUB 22 bln. Allocations are supposed as follows: 2016 – RUB 600 mln; 2017 – RUB 800 mln; 2018 – RUB 7 bln 187.3 mln; 2019 – RUB 524.8 mln; 2020 – 12 bln 887.9 mln.
