Maritime transport and tourism should be developed in the Arctic, press center of the Russian Security Council cites its Secretary Nikolai Patrushev as saying at the VI International Meeting of the Arctic Council member states, observer states and scientific community representatives.
“Arctic pioneers of the present day should not only develop it for economic purposes – the future generations should take it over in pristine condition and should be fostered an attitude of love and care towards this unique region. Arctic tourism is the key tool to solve this task,” said Nikolai Patrushev .
